McCann I trade for a catcher?

Postby john » Tue Jul 14, 2009 3:32 am

12 H2H with obp and not avg:

My James Anthony Shields for his Brian Michael McCann?

I was recently offered this trade verbally and despite this being my second trade for a catcher this season (damn you Iannetta/Soto!!), I'm feeling it. I can then possibly trade Ludwick for a decent pitcher...thoughts?

I wouldn't do it, but it's fair.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Would you not do it because of your staunch belief in the uselessness of the catcher spot in general or because it hurts my team too much to get rid of Shields? Or both?...I ask just because my pitching seems to do well week to week, especially with some key streaming of matchup pitchers, but my hitting still has yet to really dominate aside from once or twice. I'm currently sitting on the playoff bubble (6th of 12, top 6 go) and am just looking for ways to improve my team

Napoli has been more valuable than McCann this year. I don't see the point. And you have Soto on your DL, it all makes little sense to me. Use Shields to upgrade where it matters.
