keeper trade

Postby SoS » Sun Jul 12, 2009 7:28 pm

A guy in my 10 team keeper is freaking out as his team has been falling fast. He's claiming that he's playing for next year and has put all his studs up for trade asking for good keepers. We can only keep 5 and we lose 2 rounds ahead of this years draft spot. I'm looking to acquire Hanley or B. Phillips, neither of which can be kept next year. Would a Scherzer (14) and Kershaw (13) combo be too much for either Hanley or Phillips? In parenthesis is the round lost next year if Scherz or Kershaw were kept. Hope this isn't too complicated. Standard league. Fyi, i offered Scherzer for Hanley and he didn't bite which I expected. Thanks!

Wouldn't be too much for either, of course, I'd prefer Hanley.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

In keeping with this same keeper theme (lose 2 rounds ahead), this is his latest offer. Seems a bit steep to me. I get Hanley (cannot keep next year) and he gets votto (7), alexei (2) and kershaw (13). In parenthesis is the round one would lose next year if player is kept. Would votto and kershaw or scherzer be too much for hanley? for b phillips?

Too steep. Votto and Kershaw wouldn't be too steep for Hanley.

Ok, what about alexei and scherzer for b. phillips? I'm not thrilled about this. Seems like the rest of the year, alexei and b phillips could be a wash stats wise.

Why are you going after Alexei then?
