Trade ideas...

Postby tooms » Tue Jul 07, 2009 1:13 pm

I was thinking of offering up Jurrjens, who has a full three year contract left, plus maybe a 2010 pick for Verlander who has an expiring contract. The team that has Verlander is in last so there is really no benefit for him not to trade for a better potential keeper contract.

If that goes through, I was also thinking of trading Santana, who has an expiring contract for Mauer who has another year left after this one. Should I worry about Santana not getting that many strikeouts lately? I need help in the catcher slot so this seemed fitting... I would really like an OF or SS, but I think I need to keep Morgan and Evereth out there for their steals right now.

Any other ideas of who I should possibly target? My category rankings are listed below so this way you know what I need help in and what I have some room to play...

Rank Team BA HR RBI R SB KO OPS K ERA WHIP W S HD QS Total
1st ME 6th 3rd 3rd 5th 7th 9th 4th 5th 1st 3rd 1st 2nd 8th 1st 123.50

12 team 7x7 roto keeper* (add'l cats: KO, OPS & HLD, QS)

Keepers:
1B: L. Berkman
2B: I. Kinsler
3B: D. Wright*
OF: J. Bautista*
OF: J. Hamilton
SP: C. Kershaw*
RP: C. Kimbrel

Minors:
SS: Dee Gordon
SP: Brad Peacock
SP: Henderson Alvarez

If you get Verlander there (and I'd want him) then I could see trading Johan, but I wouldn't trade him for Mauer. You can do better than that. You can get a Crawford, or at worst, a Victorino for Johan.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Would you do Jurrjens and a 15th (approx a 22nd in a non-keeper league) for Verlander and a 25th (32nd)??? I would.
