Gimme dat Vazquez

Postby Garnold » Tue Jul 07, 2009 12:01 pm

Having lost Peavy, Randy Johnson and semi-scrub Dallas Braden to the DL/sadness list, I was looking to grab a decent starter with K's to keep me in 2nd place. Wondering who to offer up. Here is my team:

C: Inge
1B: Carlos Pena
2B: Utley
3B: Figgins
SS: Jeter
MI: Jose Lopez
CI: Howie Kendrick
OF: Hart
OF: Lind
OF: Markakis
OF: Reimold
OF: Maggs Ordonez
UTIL: Chris B. Young

Bench: Kaz Matsui, Ibanez (DL), Beltran (DL) Alex Gordon (DL)

P: Scott Baker
P: Jered Weaver
P: Ted Lilly
P: Randy Johnson
P: Joba Chamberlain
P: Dallas Braden (tears)
P: Rick Porcello
P: Paul Maholm
P: Brandon Morrow
P: Fuentes
P: Mike Gonzalez
P: Raffy Soriano
P: Mike MacDougal

Bench: Peavy (DL) Randy Johnson (DL)

He would like Markakis or Figgins, but I'm hesitant to part with either of them (although Markakis has been struggling).

He also made it apparent that he would be open to including Ian Stewart and Scott Hairston in a potential trade. Should I stand pat with my team as is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
12 team mixed 5x5 Roto Redraft

C: Gattis
1B: Rizzo

3B: Franco
SS: Reyes
CI: Pujols
MI: Schoop
OF: McCutchen
OF: Trumbo
OF: Wil Myers
OF: J-Upton
OF: Billy Burns
UTIL: Holt

Bench: Jarrod Dyson, Gallo,
DL: Do. Santana, Steve Pearce

SP's: J Fernandez, Price, Harvey, Salazar, Pomeranz, Smyly, DeScalfini, Chen, Glasnow
RP's: Will Harris, Ziegler, Jean Gomez, Will Smith

Maybe Vazquez and Jones for Markakis? He might find that laughable, but Jones is struggling. I wouldn't give up Markakis or Figgins for Max Scherzer or Clayton Kershaw with your team. You can barely afford to lose a hitter as it is.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
