I just traded Matt Kemp and Dan Haren

Markakis and Aaron Harang

I like Harang's chances of turning it around, and i think Markakis is going to be a stud the rest of the way, but given how good Haren has been and how bad Harang has been lately, and that Kemp's production has been similar to that of The Greek God Of Roto so far, is this a poor deal?

IF (and I mean that) Harang turns it around for the 2nd half this will end up even. Kemp has slightly better speed, Markakis better power. If your league counts OBP tho, The Greek is your guy - they'll keep walking him to get to the rest of the Oriole line-up.

I think Haren is slightly better for ERA/WHIP. But they'll be pretty much even on Wins, Harang with better Ks.

...yeah it all depends on what stats you were looking to improve. But once again, this will only work IF Harang goes back to his normal self.

...I still say that 4 Inning relief outing a month back fucked the whole thing over. DAMN YOU DUSTY, DAAAAMMNNNN YOOOUUUUUU!

My league is 5X5, no OBP. So given the risk factor on Harang, i take it you're striking this one down as a loss value-wise for me, Commie?

I must admit, i made the offer early yesterday, before Harang turned in another sucky outing. My faith may have been deterred just enough for me not to propose it if i was making it today. But what's done is done.

Interested to hear Grey's take on this.

to me, the trade looks like a flip in stats. otherwise it's even in value. so to review what each player brings more of to the table over the other players involved -

Haren - ERA/WHIP
Kemp - SBs, RBIs

Harang - Ks
Markakis - HRs, Rs

So it's even to me, IF Harang goes back to his old self.
