Quentin for Aramis?

You wanna trade who for who? Wow, that's awful/great/horrendous/beautiful/really terrible?

Quentin for Aramis?

Postby emptygift » Tue Jun 09, 2009 8:36 am

Someone offered me this. I don't know how I feel about it. Seems like a good gamble considering I have Wright at 3B. I'm just not confident that Quentin will stay healthy (and the white sox are so inconsistant.) Aramis should spark the Cubs line up and is always a beast, fits my Ult spot nicely...

I'd want Quentin there.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I do have a soft spot for Quentin, I had him last yr.

here are my concerns...

1. This trade helps my opponents team more than mine (he's dead last in Off.)
2. Come August, the Cubs will be much better offensively.
3. This trade seems like a wash...so why make it...
4. Health; will Quentin;s foot allow for power...same token...will Aramis' shoulder allow for power

All that being said I still like Quentin. Its boils down to who will have a better second half....

You make fair points, and I can understand not making it for those reasons. I would prefer Quentin in the 2nd half then Aramis, but only by a hair.

Plantar fascitis is bad news bears. He didn't hit a homer in all of May. I'm a Cansecito hack too, but Aramis is the best player in Chicago hands down. I would make the deal. But, he is out a lot longer than Casecito is supposed to be. Also, there hasn't been good news or bad news on the Cansecito front. And Herb (the cws trainer) will typically play it more conservative than most.
