Verlander's Worth

Postby thump » Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:41 am

How much faith do we have that Verlander will rebound back to a top arm this year?

Do we like him better than Adam Wainwright for 2014? Dude knows I've always liked Verlander and is trying to get me to swap Waino & Gregory Polanco for him (Keeper League).Seems like a lot and normally I wouldn't touch it, but been trying to get Verlander for years so I'm at least thinking on it here..

May go back and offer him a lesser arm like Cueto or Cobb wtih Polanco.. or ask for a draft pick as well (3rd Rounder)

Thoughts on Verlander?

I'd want Wainwright...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Wainwright looks like he has fully recovered from TJ. Verlander's velocity has been decreasing the last couple of years which is a big concern. Overall they are pretty close to a push in terms of value. I personally value Wainwright a little more. That combined with the fact that you are getting Polanco puts me in favor of accepting the deal.

I don't know the logistics of the league but as long as the league is fairly standard, I would take the deal or try to counter and take the deal if he rejects.
