selling high on Ibanez and Cueto

Postby nickc » Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:14 am

I have Ibanez and Cueto, who I want to sell high, and was thinking of grabbing a top pitcher. Would offering them for Halladay be too much? If not, the guy who has him has the best stats in pitching in our league and his hitting isn't so great, so he might go for it. (Though I know he loves halladay). He also has CC, Peavy and Felix Hernandez. Any thoughts on who I should try to get/offer?

Thanks.

I'd go after Halladay.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I'm in a similar situation. I need to upgrade my SP, and have my sights set on Halladay, whose owner also has Verlander. I know these two would be a big catch, so what do you think I should offer for the two of them that he'd have to think loooong and hard about? I was thinking Ibanez + Bedard, but I know just the two of them wouldn't be enough.

His team:
C: Mauer
1B: C. Pena
2B: Roberts
3B: Zimm
SS: Rollins
OF: Bay
OF: Pierre
OF: Torii
Util: Atkins
Util: Tejada
BN: Hart, Huff
DL: Hamilton

SP: Shields, Halladay, Verlander, Duke, Millwood, Joba, Cueto
RP: Bell, Downs, Bailey

Thanks!

MI: Altuve
CI: Frazier

You're not going to get the both of them. Besides you don't need the both of them. One's fine.

Yea I guess landing both of them isn't realistic unless I sold the farm.

Would Bedard + Wieters get it done for Verlander?

I take that back. He's already got Mauer so I doubt he's interested in Wieters...
