11th Hour.

You wanna trade who for who? Wow, that's awful/great/horrendous/beautiful/really terrible?

11th Hour.

Postby FillyP » Mon Jul 08, 2013 1:20 pm

For whatever reason, our LM set the trade deadline to this Friday at Noon. That's compounded by the fact that I only have 10 moves left for ROS because of our tight acquisition limit. Thankfully, mostly everybody in the league is in the same boat.

I've been in 1st place most of the year, but the gap is starting to dwindle and my team has been slumping. Full team and rules is in my sig. I think if I can strengthen SP, SS, and potentially OF then I'll be ready for the stretch run. With that in mind:

1) Should I try to move a guy like Moss for mid-level pitching? Not sure if there will be much interest, but I've dangled Brown out there to no avail. I think I can get a guy like Griffin or Lohse on the cheap. Liriano might be possible, too. Outside of Lee/Bailey I have a whole lot of question marks..

2) Is Upton a sell? His value is low right now.. but if he continues to slump like this, I'll be in trouble. I've been considering breaking him down for something like an OF2 + SP2. Crazy talk?

3) Is Cishek a must move for virtually anything? All the talk I'm hearing is that he's going to be traded somewhere where he won't close.

4) Pablo.. same issue as Upton, though his value couldn't be any lower right now. The difference is Pablo is still keeper eligible in my league (Upton isn't). I've had some bites, but would welcome any suggestions in terms of moving him and what I should expect in return.

Edit to add: Weeks was dropped, so I'm putting in a claim and dropping J. Will. Between Cozart/Miller/Escobar I think I'm OK at SS. Pitching is definitely the priority.

I'd take Liriano for Moss
2) Is Upton a sell? His value is low right now.. but if he continues to slump like this, I'll be in trouble. I've been considering breaking him down for something like an OF2 + SP2. Crazy talk?
Ride him out, you can't get his value right now
3) Is Cishek a must move for virtually anything? All the talk I'm hearing is that he's going to be traded somewhere where he won't close.
Sure
4) Pablo.. same issue as Upton, though his value couldn't be any lower right now. The difference is Pablo is still keeper eligible in my league (Upton isn't). I've had some bites, but would welcome any suggestions in terms of moving him and what I should expect in return.
Don't sell low

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
