Trade pitching for offense

Postby thefounteeners » Sat Jun 08, 2013 10:53 am

Looking at trying to make a move to acquire an outfielder for my team. According to the player pages Kendrick is the pitcher I should most look to trade though I would also consider Maholm, Doubront or one of my young arms if there was interest.

Also fine throwing in an offensive player to sweeten any deal like a Hosmer, Arenado or Johnson

Considering targeting the following players - DeAza, Heyward, Choo or Pence. Most likely "gets" would be DeAza or Heyward based on the owners trade history. What would you consider fair offers for these players if you owned them?

For reference I am currently in first by a very slim margin team with Heyward and DeAza is in third.

Doubt you'll get any of those targets for any of the players you can offer, at this juncture. You can certainly try but...

De Aza for Kendrick/Hosmer or Arenado might happen, depending on need. Not sure that helps you much though.

So...just had my Hosmer & Kendrick for his Pence offer tentatively accepted - would you do this deal?

Sorry get very skittish with trades...

Would pick up either Brothers, Gregerson or Corbin for the empty bench slot.

Yeah, I like that deal for Pence. Good show.

I'm shocked that Patrick Corbin is available... get him.

EDIT: That makes no sense... why would this guy trade for Kendrick if Corbin is on the waiver wire?
