Trying to be tricky

You wanna trade who for who? Wow, that's awful/great/horrendous/beautiful/really terrible?

Trying to be tricky

Postby sjglauber » Fri May 29, 2009 7:16 am

12 team, 5x5 keeper, 10 keepers

I'm targeting JJ Hardy and am shopping Jair Jurjjens. Jair probably holds more value than JJ at the moment (even though ESPN decided to post a giant "EXPECT REGRESSION" story in Jair's updated note). I'd ultimately offer Jair for JJ straight, but what kind of guy can I look to "throw in" before settling for that? He's got Ervin Santana, Ted Lilly, Randy Wolf, Asdrubal Cabrera, Colby Rasmus. Potential guys I can "throw in": Zobrist, Dukes, Tulowitzki.

I'm sorry this is convoluted. I basically want to know how to get tricky and grab JJ and sell Jair while maximizing Jair's current value.

Do you see a trade anywhere in there?

You wanna trade a guy that has been great for a guy that has been terrible, but you can't figure out what else to throw in? I'd want Jurrjens over Hardy even with the regression to come. If you really need Hardy because of too many pitchers and no SSs, then try to get Rasmus, Wolf or Lilly. I'd also prefer to wait around for Tulo more than Hardy.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
