Pettite for Wilson

Postby JacobK » Fri Apr 05, 2013 1:28 pm

I've been offered C.J. Wilson for Andy Pettite. Should I take it? Its a 14 team head to head league. The difference in their rankings makes me think I should, and I could use the wins, but I already own C.J. Wilson in one league and I don't want him ruining my entire fantasy season if his arm craps out all over my ratios.

I might just because there is more upside with Wilson but really neither one would be getting into the starting lineup very often.

I don't understand. As in they're both marginal starters? I have relievers I'd drop before Pettitte or Wilson.

Yes they are marginal. Match-up plays at best. Wilson has been in decline since his move from Texas.

In this, a 14 team h2h mixed league, I'd play both of them more often than not. I mean, there's Dillon Gee on the waiver wire but after that its all Vance Worley and Chacin and A.J. Griffin. I'd rather be starting Pettitte or Wilson than dropping them because Brandon Maurer is pitching in Oakland.

In any case, that's academic. Thanks for the advice, I accepted the trade.

Chacin and Griffin are not bad at all.
