So, I posted a trade offer yesterday (Choo for BJ). Well the guy changed his mind and didn't offer the trade.

However, today I received another offer from someone. My Hosmer+Werth for his Wainwright. What does everyone think? I'd lose some hitting and be forced to plug Ethier into my utility spot and I'd lose some hitting depth. My pitching is pretty solid right now but adding another great arm can't hurt.

Is it worth losing the hitting? Too good of an offer to pass up? What does everyone think? Thanks.

Are there some decent bats on WW? 10 team should have some depth. Since it is clearing your bench I think it works well

JJ Hardy, Torii, Lucroy, Lorenzo Cain, Vicidedo, Starling Marte, Maybin, Alexei Ramirez, Doumit, Hart, Ruggiano, David Murphy, Dominic Brown, Rasmus.

Or I could ask for a bat back from him. He has Kendrys Morales, Ichiro, Carlos Gomez (I can't see him giving up anyone else really)

Yea torii hunter is a stud steal this year. Solid player. There is plenty that you won't miss the bench bat. You don't need Simmons or taveras.

I edited my post. I added a few more names and included some of his players. Would you still reccomend Torii? He's on waivers now as my gf dropped him for Bauer so I'd have to hope he clears waivers. If Torii doesn't clear waivers to me, who else would you add?

You think it's worth losing the hitting to add Waino with the pitching I already have?

More pitchers are always good in h2h. You really only lose a little since one of those two is sitting every day. You have a comparable replacement and WW depth isn't much worse. Some people think wainwright could get back to cy young level if strasburg isn't too dominant

Did you see a hitter that he has that would be worth asking back that may be better than Torii? Or should I try and pick up Torii? If he get's claimed and I miss out on him, who would you pick up as a fallback? Thanks.

Morales ain't bad. Hart might be ideal to stash for when he comes back in mid may. Vicedio could work for now

Are these in place of Torii if I miss out on him? Or is Torii option one and then if I miss out go from the above listed?

I remember reading about how much Grey loved Hosmer and how after his horrid year last year he'd be a good bet to bounce back and get him in the later rounds. With this being a keeper league the thing that makes this trade hard for me is I drafted Hosmer in round 11. That would be great value for a keeper if he bounces back and hits like he's capable of and did his rookie year. Wainwright was a 5th round pick and I don't know if I'd want to keep a pitcher, esp since I drafted Goldschmidt in the round 5 so I'd only be able to choose one.

I guess knowing this is a keeper league probably explains why I have Taveras and Simmons on my roster.

So, with all that said, is it worth it to give up Hosmer for Wainwright, someone I may not keep after this season where I may have kept Hosmer as an 11th round pick?

Keeper definitely makes a big difference.

A few perspectives but I think you have to turn that down for long term.
