Dynasty Trade Advice

Postby sickwidit336 » Fri Apr 05, 2013 6:11 am

I am trying to trade for Profar (as I have Brian Roberts, so no stable 2b on my mlb roster for long term), and there's a heavy price for him. He's asking for Taijuan Walker, Skaggs/or Bauer, and AJ Griffin. He will throw in Randall Delgado, Erasmo, and Tony Zych/or Darien Martin. My current pitching without Griffin consists of Cliff Lee, Felix, Darvish, Shields, Peacock, and the recently called up Bauer. My other decent pitching prospects are Kyle Smith, JR Graham, John Lamb, and Kyle Lotzkar, along with other low-risk/high reward prospects. With this trade my offense next year will be Goldy, Profar, Andrus, Miggy, Cutch/Cargo/Bonifacio, and hopefully Jonathan Singleton at Util. What are your guys thoughts?

I think I would be ok with that deal. I like Walker a lot but he is a SP and he is by no means a sure thing. Really you are giving up three SP for the top prospect and a couple other prospects/fringe prospects. I would be comfortable making that deal.

And profar starts where for Texas? I don't see how this helps your second base issue. I think you are over paying your farm system for hype.

Starting shouldn't be the worry here. He is going to get a roster spot at some point. The only real question is when does he get a starting spot. Either Kinsler gets traded or he gets moved to a different position.

Well he is looking for a second baseman. I think that kind of trading Aj,walker and bauer is the kind of move someone does for a current bat when they are contending for this year.

Well I kept saying no, and then he came back with Walker, Skaggs, Gumbs, 1st round minor league pick next year for Profar, Delgado, T. Zych, and his 2nd round pick next year (his team is not really going to compete this year) This lets me keep Griffin and Bauer.

WIN! Nice. Delgado could come to be something too.
