I get Golschmidt/Segura/Wilhelmsen for Hanley/Ike Davis/Archer.

I know I give up alot but I don't like Hanley at all and I have absolutely no RP. I also have a deal in the works to aquire Cishek so I will be competitive in saves. At the moment I am tanking to catergories (saves and holds).

Did I "foul" up?

No I don't think you fouled up or at least not by that much. Yes you did give away the best player in the deal and you also traded for RP which is always a risky move but you upgraded your 1B and Segura should be an ok option at SS.

Maybe you should have been able to get a little more but not something I would be stressing about. Especially if you don't like Hanley.

I think you did a great job buying in on Goldschmidt right now....and I'm fine with the return you got, but I do think the following is a mistaken rationale for any trade...



Your thoughts about Hanley should almost be irrelevant when it comes to the return you get for him (especially any negative thoughts).....you should always be looking to capitalize on others thoughts on a player versus your own.

Plenty of people love Hanley.....and those are the things you want to capitalize on.
