Batting Stats are pretty even with Pitching...DIckey was top scorer last season however...
I have a trade on the table that would get me R.A. Dickey and Elliot Johnson for Rosenthal, Cashner, Erick Aybar and Miguel Sano.....My current SPs are Cliff Lee,Cole Hamels,Clayton Kershaw,Jon Lester, Tim Hudson, Chad Billingsley and Rosenthal and Cashner could also start for me at RP if they gain a spot in their respective rotations...
Will trading for Dickey be beneficial for my team ? I am giving up my starting SS, and my substitute would be Maicer Izturis...I already have a stacked rotation, and my offense is pretty good as well...Sano and Rosenthal are basically my best prospects, as I drafted MLB players before Milb during the draft... I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and trying to trade for another SS afterwords.. what do you guys think???

Personally I would pass because I am not that sold on Dickey. Maybe he pitches at the top of his game for another year or two but at some point the wheels will fall off. I expect that to happen sooner than later. So by doing this trade you create more holes in your roster and lose some top prospects. I just don't see the gain.

Only way I see doing this if you think Dickey is the difference between winning a title. Then I could understand wanting to pull it the trigger.

I'd pass. I like Dickey but don't think he'll be as dominant as last season. This deal would create more problems for your roster and weaken your future immensely. I think Aybar has a super season in LAA in that lineup.

I'm a big believer in Rosenthal going forward and Cashner should return from injury mid season. Pitchers in Petco is a thumbs up. Sano is a future power stud.

Too much to give up for maybe a year or two of production.
