I'm in a 12 team, 12 keeper league. I have protected 4 guys to cover 1B, 3B and my DH spots. Those guys are Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Adrian Beltre and Paul Goldschmidt.

I have been offered Jacoby Ellsbury (I have an open OF spot) for Beltre. I don't mind trading Beltre since he is the oldest of these four players and I think that Goldschmidt really has a bright future and would be confident with him at my DH spot.

My question is, does anyone have faith that Ellsbury bounces back this year? He's missed a lot of time in two of the last three years, but he had an MVP caliber season last time he was healthy for the year?

Should I trade Beltre for Ellsbury, or keep Goldschmidt on my bench going into the season as great insurance four the other three guys?

All opinions are welcome.

I have little faith in Ellsbury.
He's a 30-35 sb guy, with questionable power.

Agreed. Beltre is a top 3B and if you should have plenty of suitors for his services. I have no problem looking to deal him but I think you could get something better than Ellsbury.
