Seems ok but not sure it will be accepted. Really depends on what the other owner thinks of Upton. After that trade, I think his value jumped so I don't think he is going to trade him very easily. Add in the injury history and age of Hamilton and I am not sure I see this as being enough.

Just curious as to why you think Upton's value jumped with the trade? Obviously he leaves a great hitter's ballpark for a pitcher's ballpark.....so is it just the environment? The lineup? Something else?

First off Atlanta isn't a pitchers park. If you look at park factors Phoenix was ranked 6 and Atlanta was ranked 11. It might effect his HR because there is a sizable difference when you look strictly at HR rates but Atlanta is more neutral than anything.

As for why Upton will get an increase. Part of it is that he gets out of a bad situation in Arizona. Who knows what that situation was doing to him and I think many people will see this as a good thing for Upton. Add in that the lineup around Upton is better and it seems like it is a good situation.

Lastly, trades have a higher tendency to increase a players value just because his name is in the news and it is a new situation and new environment. It might not change his value in the end but his value is at least somewhat higher than what it was a week or so ago.
