I think Estrada has tons of potential based on his back-half 2012 performance...I've been offered a $7 Estrada in exchange for a $2 Juan Pierre I got at the very end of my draft last year. For $2, I love his SB and AVG stats...am I crazy to make this trade, or does the upside for Estrada (even at $7) warrant a move?

I already have Hamels, Wainwright and Niese as starters, but would love to bring in someone like Estrada and not have to worry about pitchers heading into draft day.
On the flipside, I don't have a lot of SB guys on my team right now.

I don't think it is a bad move. If you feel that Estrada is on the way up then this is a pretty good deal.

Saying all that do you think you can find SB or SP easier in the draft?

I already own Hamels, Wainwright and Niese for a combined $29...so it's not like I need to have Estrada, esp. at $7 when I'd feel better owning him for less...plus, I own both Edwin Jackson and Dillon Gee at $10 each, but not sure if they are keepers.
I'm probably going to keep Pierre. I like having a $2 guy I think is a lock for 20+ SB's and a good AVG.

I would not make that deal. I much prefer Pierre over Estrada. That said, if the Marlins bring in other outfielders this spring and Pierre finds himself on the bench (unlikely, but possible), then I would prefer Estrada.
