Probably not asking enough for Papelboner.

You wanna trade who for who? Wow, that's awful/great/horrendous/beautiful/really terrible?

Probably not asking enough for Papelboner.

Postby Frank Rizzo » Tue Jun 17, 2008 8:01 am

As Grey states in his article on closers, some of these guys are highly regarded based on name alone. Paplebon is an example.

I've got Paps and Valverde on my roster.

I was thinking about trading Papelbon and Granderson to a guy for Cordero and BJ Upton. Upton is the 5 tool player Granderson is not and he can hit lefties as well. Papelbon is no better than Valverde but his name gives him trading power.

Am I asking too little?

I'd take the Upton side in that trade. F-Cord will get plenty of saves and Upton is much better than Granderson. Actually - F-Granderson.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Yeah. I'm planning on trying it as a plan B.

Right now I've got an offer to another guy in that's Granderson/Papelbon for Sizemore. Unbelievably, I've noticed Matt Capps is on our wire so I could just go with the Valverde/Capps closing team and have Sizemore instead of BJ Upton.

We'll see how interested guys are in a big name closer like Papelbon.
