7x7 keeper league (OPS,KO & QS, Holds). 40 man rosters. Can keep for 3 years.

There is someone interested in Halladay (3rd contract year, so this is his last year) and Soria (1st). He offered Miggy Cabrera (3rd) and Elijah Dukes (1st). Not really looking for either of those guys, but he said he is willing to work something.

Based on my team, I was thinking of countering with David Wright (3rd) and Adam Jones (1st). I think my pitching is solid and can take the whack of losing Halladay (as long as Peavy comes around) and I have so many closers right now, so so long Soria. Mind you he is desperate for saves and is currently in third behind me and another guy and its pretty tight up top.

Or should I try to target someone else. His bats are pretty sick. Players of interest Mauer (2nd), Votto (2nd), Ethier (1st), Sizemore (3rd), Hill (1st).

I was thinking perhaps Sizemore and Jones or Votto and Jones as well.... But I think my need at 3rd and need for SB's are more desperate. Plus Wright isn't Wright yet, so maybe I can buy a little low as opposed Grady. I think I still like Wright and Jones. Or should I just stick with my pitching as is and not bother. Thoughts?

I love getting Wright there. Wright for Halladay? I do that every day of the week. And you'll be fine without Soria.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

He is saying Wright and Jones is too much for Doc and Soria... technically I agree, but that's why I offered it. he countered with Miggy Cabrera and Dukes for Doc and Wilson.... Hmm, what would you do here maybe Wright and Dukes... or Votto and Jones? I like Votto and Jones, because both are potential keepers for me next year.... Wright is an expiring contract and there is obviously no way I would keep Dukes unless something miraculous happened to him. I would do that deal that he offered if it had Wright over Miggy probably. Thoughts??

I'd want Miggy and Dukes there and I'd want Wright and Dukes in the other trade. Votto and Jones is closer, but I'd still want the Votto side.

So you prefer, Miggy/Dukes over Wright/Dukes over Votto/Jones, correct? I think I value Votto/Jones higher here solely because of contract lengths. I think my main issue is that I just don't really like Dukes here.

That's right, that's the order.

That trade is still on the table, but I'm going to try and make a play at Miggy/Jones for Halladay/Soria/X. Just have to find the right third player here... Church, Jacobs, Lewis or a pitcher, or someone else? What do you think would sway deal? Or am I just being greedy and underestimating Elijah Dukes?

Or I can try a little something outside the box and offer Halladay, Ziegler and Hawkins for Miggy and Jones. This way he gets two closers, be it lesser closers, but ultimately more saves.

You can add any of them to the trade, they're nothing but bench hitters anyway, right?
