I think that it's safe to say that Adam Lind has grown into a #2 fantasy outfielder. He's on pace to do something amazing this year.

That said, is it safe to trade someone like Victorino for Lind at this point? I have a team that needs the HR/RBI help. Thoughts?

It is not safe to say that Lind is a solid #2 yet. I think you would be taking too much of a risk in giving up Victorino for him.

Much of Lind's value is derived from the head-scratchingly over-productive Toronto offense that will grind to a hault at some point. Victorino has a great lineup position on a great offense. You have to also take into consideration the fact that Howard and Rollins have been horrible thus far.

This trade would be the classic "sell low, buy high." You want to do that to the other guy. Wait until Lind has a cold streak and you'll be able to steal him because his owner will be desperate to get some sort of value for him.

I don't know man... Victorino's ISO of .191 is completely out of whack with his career .143, he's due for a regression. I don't think I'd be selling low on Victorino. Sure Lind has an unsustainable BABIP, but I believe that we're seeing the beginnings of this year's Ludwick.

I think you can get more value for Victorino and give up less value to get Lind. I would package Victorino w/ someone to upgrade at a position and then give up a player/multiple players with cheap replacement value to get Lind. You are probably right about the math but you are ignoring the perception/emotional aspect of it.

What about:
Victorino, (some other valuable player, Outfielder preferably) for Sizemore or Braun?

I just don't think you'll have a problem putting a deal together for Lind.

Wasn't Victorino a top 15 outfielder last year? And on pace to do better this year?
