Hello everyone,

For the 14-team league below, I'm in 1st but near the bottom in HR and Holds, and I've got too many SPs, which has me nearly 30 inning over pace. I also lack the space to activate Stauffer from the DL, which is OK for now since I wouldn't start him his first game back. But I can't make any waiver moves until he's activated, and I think he would be good to start at home against LAA in five days.

I've been playing fantasy for a while but until now it was always in leagues where rules or personalities limited trades. So I'm a relative newbie when it comes to constructing anything but straight-up trades. Any advice is welcome!

Aside from HR and holds, the team is strong in most other categories: top 3 in R, RBI, SB, AVE, Saves, and WHIP and top five in OPS, and ERA. I'm just a little better than mid-pack in Ws, but we all know the follies of the "W".

The Balfour demotion might actually help, since he'll likely get holds rather than saves for a while. And I think I'll move up there with Cook and Frieri. So I'm less worried about that.

But I'm really looking to add some pop to the lineup (hence grabbing Ibañez). My idea is to do a 2-for-1 trade in order to open up space to activate Stauffer, with an eye toward dropping Ibañez once he cools (if he isn't part of a trade) in order to active Chris Young when his time comes to come off the DL.

So far I've tried to trade Aviles as the centerpiece in deals for guys expected to hit 20-25 more HR on teams with limited middle infield flexibility or a weak SS (Encarnacion, Corey Hart, Willingham) with no luck.

So what I need is some help on potential deals to add some pop and also open up a roster spot (or two). I know it's hard without seeing the other rosters, but it'd be helpful to have an idea what level of an idea I should pursue.

Two possibilities involving DL players: I did get an inquiry from the team with Michael Morse on the DL in need of playable OF help and trading for him even straight up would open up a roster spot because I could put him directly on the DL. With Reynolds on the DL, something similar could work out there, though he's such a BA drain I'm more hesitant. What's a good offer for Morse? What do we expect from him if he comes back in June? Is it worth trading for Reynolds in hopes that a DL stint will help him focus?

What are some more complex trade ideas (i.e. pitcher + hitter = slugger) that could work?

Sorry for such a long message, but there's a lot to cover. I'd really appreciate some good ideas from more experienced traders.

A deal for Morse -- Kendrick? Aviles and a closer? Depends what the other person needs.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
