14 team standard 5x5 league. start these players:

1-c, 1-1b, 1-2b, 1-3b, 1-ss, 1-mi, 1-ci, 4-of, 2-dh, 6-sp, 2-rp

i give conor jackson and i get bonafacio. i could then drop getz and pickup one of these players:

swisher
inge
delmon young
casey blake
jordan schafer
headley
thames

will probably get swisher if i do this. only have 6 drops between now and aug 31, and then 5 more in sept. so whoever i pickup i need to last a while.

should i do this?

Are you in a Yahoo League? Reason I ask is that Conor Jackson has 1st base and OF eligibility.

I would stay away from Bonifacio people are trying to ship him on the hype. Conor Jackson is no world beater but he's a decent bat who could potentially breakout. Every year some unknown comes out and lights the world on fire then comes back to earth. That's what'll happen to Bonifacio and you don't want to be a Lemming on that cliff.

Your pitching is very strong at the front end (particularly w/ Sabathia and Beckett). Could you package Sabathia to upgrade yourself at a MI position? Adding a Brandon Phillips type would be huge for your team. Just my opinion.

Forgot to address the drops thing. By not making this move you save your drops also which will pay off HUGE around midseason. I like Swisher and I like your logic a lot but I just don't think this is the trade for you.

what about this offer:

i give sabathia, orlando hudson, and justin upton for soriano, roberts and danks? not sure the other team would go for it, but worth a shot.

if it gets shot down i'll try substituting conor jackson in for upton.

Certainly worth a shot. I like that you're selling the hype on Hudson. He might counter with something that will work for you and it never hurts to throw trades out there. Regardless of whether this deal breaks down I feel strongly that you should package and move Sabathia. Here's why:

1) The yankees MI defense is far and away the worst in the league STATISTICALLY (that's all that should matter). Jeter and Cano have absolutely no range whatsoever. And their outfield defense isn't too great either. That's one of the reasons why most every pitcher that comes to New York sees their WHIP and ERA balloon. Part of it is the quality of hitting in the AL East but the poor defense is also a factor. To me, this makes Sabathia less valuable.

2) Sabathia is coming off MONSTER innings last year and has traditionally been a high innings guy. It doesn't mean he'll get injured it just means there's a lot more chance of it happening or his velocity/movement decreasing. He is coming off a great start so now's an excellent time to sell the hype.

3) Your pitching staff is lights out- you don't need him anyway.

4) Your middle infield is very weak (but it's your only real weakness which is awesome in 14 team format)

here is another team that i was looking at where i could get kinsler:

C-sandoval
1b-delgado
2b-kinsler
3b-cantu
ss-aviles
mi-kendrick
ci-ishikawa
4 of-burrell, cruz, dunn, jody gerut (LMAO)!!!!
2 dh-butler, carlos gomez

6 sp-cain, galarraga,hamels, maine, nolasco and pelfrey
2 rp-hanrahan, qualls

was going to send sabathia and cabrera maybe for kinsler and galarrage, but i doubt that guy will do that.

have a possible deal worked out, your thoughts?

i give sabathia, fielder, asdrubal cabrera and jenks and i get teix, utley, lohse and marmol. i have to suffer losing saves since marmol isnt the closer right now. i only have 5 drops until aug 31 so i'll have to keep marmol in there for a while even if he isnt getting saves.

I'm not crazy about any trade moving that many pieces, but that trade's fine for you.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
