trade

Postby COWBOY KELLY » Wed Apr 01, 2009 11:28 am

to late for advice just got accepted,,but due to my ignorance drafting,i hung myself with only spilbourghs, crawford and twins casilla for sb`s,,so i traded albert, tejada, nunez and villinueva for howard and furcal,,ive still got nathan, motte, hoffman and downs so for my needs assuming furcal repeat injury riddled 2008 it should help balance me,,im still set at ave, 12 team 5x5 and the waiver pull has only bourn, who i think will be gone soon,210 wont cut it this year, hippo from st. louis will dog me but balance was needed, coments insults welcome

Trade looks fine for you. I mean, it's obviously not a slam dunk when you're going from Pujols to Howard but the Furcal upgrade could be huge.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Believe it or not, I actually like this trade for you. Ryan will bat .270+ this year so if Furcal can manage 500 ABs it's a win, you essentially only gave up 1 player for 2.

Like what you did hoarding potential closers and flipping them. That being said, you still suck!

Grey, Furcal seemed to be pretty low on your list, but understand your support in this situation. Just checking relative worth: Furcal vs. F. Lopez?

Aramis and Lopez for Soriano and Polanco

Drop - Marcus Thames, and pick up Freese or Andy LaRoche?

Yay, nay?

I don't mind that. Go with Freese. If he doesn't get the job, then you can grab Andy.

Ok, sounds good Grey. I'll probably go and take this trade then (unless there is major reason I shouldn't). 3B eligible to pick up:
David Freese
Andy LaRoche
Eric Chavez
Bill Hall
Nick Punto
Pedro Feliz
Jeff Keppinger or Geoff Blum

I kind of like Feliz because he'll have plenty of RBI opportunity. Eric Chavez will be batting 5th (in Oakland though, yuck) but still has some pop. Bill Hall doesn't really float my boat, but has some pop. Nick Punto is boring but can be relied on I suppose. What do you suggest and what reasoning?
