Once again, I have Halladay $40, Hamels $10, Lackey $13, Sabathia $19, Cain $13, Meche $7, Oliver Perez $7, RJ $17.

Looking to get a big bat. Is Halladay $40 and Span $4 or Maybin $7 for Davis $4 and someone fair?

I doubt the owner wants Halladay. If I give Cain for Davis is that fair?

I really like Cain for 2009, but it's fair for Davis. Halladay and Span is fine if you're trying to slash some budget.

Don't trade away Maybin.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

the guy told me if i want davis i have to overpay for him. i ripped this guy off a time or two last year and he wants payback. here's what he wants:

i give halladay $40, cain $13 and jeff clement $7 for davis $4 and carlos guillen $19. i will certainly drop guillen at that price.

1. what do you think about this deal? my initial thought was no way. but then i look at the SPs i still have (sabathia, hamels and lackey), and i think i'll be fine. i'm really thinking about taking a chance and making this deal.

2. if you don't like the offer, this offer would obviously make it better, but good enough for me?

i give halladay 40, cain 13 and clement 7 and i get davis 4 and derek lowe 9.

either way, i really am thinking about doing this. i believe a good hitter is better than a good pitcher. i hate pitchers!

another reason is, if davis truly does have 30-40 HR power, then i would be able to keep him for many years. the key to this league is to find young stars before they peak.

Halladay seems way overpriced so it's not that awful of a deal. Do I think you're overpaying for Davis? Yeah, I do. But sometimes you have to overpay to make deals happen. It's not awful and if it's all you can get for Halladay, I'd seriously consider it.

Do your keepers get annual raises?

If not, $4 for Davis could be a steal, and you'll definitely be glad to be rid of a $40 Halladay (whereas the other guy will be stuck wasting $40 on an old pitcher).

It'll be a year before we know if Davis is for real or not, so I'd lock him up now. I like the deal with Lowe better than the first one.

Sure, you'll miss Matt Cain at first, but after saving $53 on Cain and Halladay, you could draft just about any two pitchers you want. I had Webb and Peavy last year for less than that.
