Obviously he's a rookie that is doing amazing thing rights now. You wouldn't think it'd be wise to go after him, but...

1. He's thrown for 400+ yards in each of his first two starts.
2. Carolina's rushing game is absolute shit. He's going to probably throw the ball 40 times every game.
3. Despite the growing he needs to do, if you give Cam Newton 40 throws a game, he WILL give you pretty fantasy numbers.
4. Even on days in which he throws 3 picks against one of the best defenses in the league, he produced fantastic fantasy stats.
5. He can only get better.

What is he worth and would it be worth sending a name brand QB for a good piece at another position while grabbing Newton?

As a life long Auburn fan, I watched him all year last season... He still showed moments where he wasn't completely polished, but he has ridiculous talents and all of the intangibles.

I own Cam in my RCL, and am looking for a second tier RB for him.

I think so. I have Romo but picked up Newton from FA right after game 1. If Romo were healthy right now I'd try to trade him for a solid RB because I think a healthy Romo brings more in a trade than a two-game year-one rookie. I would roll with Cam for the rest of the year. Might be a roll of the dice but I shat the bed during my draft and need to take a chance or two to get to the Prom this year.

I would go to a prom with Cam Newton, and I don't feel that I've lost any manliness points at all for admitting it.

Hah! I'd do more than that if he gets me a championship this year!
