Sonavabench!

Exclamation when one sees that a player on their bench has had a monster day. "I started Conor Jackson over Adam LaRoche today. So what does LaRoche do? Hit two home runs. Sonavabench!" Now tell us yours.

Hey! Not much to bitch about today! (unless Cust goes deep in his final AB from the bench) My team didn't even have a great day with the bats, but beggars can't be choosers. Pitching is great as always, and actually got some run support today.

I knew that if I whined enough, Lady Luck probably would get sick of me mentioning her double chins and gives me a break for one day. I'll take it.

Glad I benched the struggling Carmona against the big, bad Tigers. So far: 5 IP, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Holycrap, I nearly messed up again. I originally had Milledge starting last night vs. Francis and sitting today vs. Ubaldo. After the rainout I forgot to move Milledge back in the lineup for the doubledip today. Luckily this afternoon I was able to pull myself away to check in on my team minutes before the COL-WAS game time and made the move. 2 homers and 4 ribbies so far!

Earlier in the year I would be grinding my teeth right about now, but things are looking up in smurf village!

11 hits from 4 guys on the bench. My lineup of 8 has 6 hits. Yowza. Got a little complacent today as my team has got a bit of a cushion now. Didn't think too much about the lineup, just went with impulse.

Went with Lowrie over Aviles as I needed rbbies and don't care about runs (huge lead), and Lowrie was facing a lefty. Strike one.

Went with Weeks over Kaz for god knows what reason. Strike two. I didn't think this one thru. I have this crazy faith that Weeks will go on a hot streak anytime he shows anything.

Failed to bench either Mclouth or Beltran for Milledge even though I had a feeling Milledge was gonna pick up a SB. Strike three. I keep runnin' Carlos out there but he's done nothing since the break. Yet I know the first game I sit his ass down he is going deep.

Sonnavabench!

It shouldn't cost me too much in the standings for now but it'd be nice to keep piling on.

To follow up on last night's post. Today I did sit Beltran for Milledge since Beltran only had 2 hrs all yr vs a lefty, and he had 0 homers since the Break.

3 for 3 with a HR (against FLA pen) and 3 RBI. The last time I benched him? 3 hits, HR, and 4 RBI vs. Lincecum. I've been wanting to sit him for a while now, but never did it cuz I know this would happen. Finally I gave in to temptation.

Can't make this stuff up. You guys should sponsor me to Vegas and just bet on the exact opposite of what I bet.

It's kinda funny now cuz my team is comfortable in the lead, but if it costs me at the end...

You should actually beat ten dollars on, say, black and have your buddies put the bank on red. You could make your buddies a killing.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

It probably wouldn't work to have my buddies bet against me because they are connected to me so it would be a bigger screwjob to let me win the small bet and have my buddies lose the huge bet. It would be better to have strangers do the opposite of what I do.

I could have safely sat Beltran for 3 straight weeks, yet when I finally do it, he has his best game in a month. Exact same thing happened last time. He was having a lackluster stretch, so against a supposed ace in Lincecum, I sit him for a hotter outfielder and he goes nuts, then immediately goes back to nothing after that.

Even if someone else intentionally tried to duplicate what I did and pick Beltran's 2 best games out of 60 it would be very difficult.

Odds are extremely unlikely. That's for sure.
