Been playing different styles of fantasy baseball for 15 seasons and finally decided to pay for some help. Insider Baseball was anything but. Lots of takes on position scarcity and their value-added method, but not much in terms of the down-and-dirty day-to-day information that keeps you one step ahead of your competition.

I'm a little concerned about investing in another service this season, but it sure beats the magazines and the ESPN player raters. Any suggestions? I'm ready to start getting ready to kill '09 now.

Outside of paying the stupid Yahoo fee for live stats, I don't buy any service. It's necessary. (I'm not just saying that because Razzball is free with free player raters.) There's so much available online for free. You get more than enough to make educated fantasy decisions.

Rudy buys a few for stats (Prospectus, Bill James, etc) but that's just to put the player rater together. If he wasn't putting together the player raters, I don't think he would buy them.

Appreciate the personal response. I think you're right. I should be re-thinking what I am doing and not be so concerned about what "they" are telling me to do...
