Totally interesting reading on why Matt Holliday should put up good numbers in Oakland. I just moved him up in my mind a spot or two...

It's only half the story. These are not road games. These are home games in a really poor hitter's stadium. Acclimate to it? He might. He still hit only 15 home runs in almost 300 ABs at Coors. Let's say Alameda sucks only 5 HRs away from him. That's a 20 HR/10 steal hitter you're thinking about drafting in the 2nd round.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

If you are setting the under/over at 20 HR's for Holliday then I want some of that action.

It's a total gamble on Billy Beane's part... He's essentially betting that he'll put up Denver numbers so that he's a worthy trade deadline dump.

Holliday hasn't had an OPS+ under 137 since 2005, and OPS+ is park-adjusted. He should be great in real life, if still somewhat overrated, like a modern day Jim Rice sans THE FEAR.

I'd want him in my favorite team's outfield. Watch his fantasy value shoot up when Beane trades him for four minor league pitchers in June.

Edit: There are GMs out there who will properly adjust Holliday's 2009 numbers for context. I wouldn't be totally shocked to see him with someone like the Red Sox or Blue Jays. I think I might have to break something if he goes to the [insert long string of vulgar pejorative adjectives] Yankees. Isn't New York still planning on using Nick Swisher in center, or did they find somebody better?

NetOwl, nice call on Holliday's park-adjusted OPS+. Nobody seems to be mentioning that when they project him into the third round. I honestly think the biggest thing he has going against him isn't the ballpark, but the lousy lineup around him.

Great year to be drating in the top five. You get one of the premier players in the league and then Matt Holliday falls into your lap late round two/early round three.
