Burowskied

Got a good suggestion to add to our Glossary (http://razzball.com/fantasy-baseball-terms/)? Here's where to submit it...

Burowskied

Postby The Deal » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:39 pm

When your closer gives up an unnecessary amount of runs in order to blow a save then you have been Burowskied. Also, if your closer enters a game in a non-save situation and proceeds to give up enough runs in order to make the non volatile situation a save situation then you have been Burowskied. The identification with this term to Joe Burowski comes from years passed in which he would give up a grand slam in order to blow a one run lead subsequently killing my ERA and WHIP. Also, he always seemed to give up 3 to 4 runs and still manage to earn a save.

I'm not crazy about it, but Rudy can overrule me. I'll run it by him.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

We have enough bad closer terms at this point...

FEMAs - Closers that are paid to provide relief but are woefully equipped. Rumored not to care about black people.

Kazaam! – Situations where closers are brought into a non-save situation and have no idea how to act. The results aren’t pretty. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=357o0kPWGFc)

Wickmen – Joe Borowski, Todd Jones, etc. In honor of Bob Wickman.
