When your opponent's normally crappy pitcher or hitter suddenly is playing like a legendary player. You are suffering from Ruthenasia (for hitters) or Matthewsonitis (for pitchers) when you start comparing them.
Examples: "Nice. I'm facing Jeff "Koufax" Francis and his 8IP 3H 7Ks against the Red Sox. Wonderful."
"So Nick Hundley suddenly turned into Johnny Bench against Kershaw. Whoop-dee-freakin'-doo!!!!"

Hmm... I'll run it by Rudy.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is. Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I like the concept and the nod to two of the members of the HOF inaugural class but the terms don't work for me.
Ruthenasia sound like when a formerly great player needs to be put to sleep. Matthewsonitis just doesn't work.
I don't have a better term yet. Will have to think about it. Open to other suggestions.

Cool. Yeah, certainly open to your ideas on the name, but there has to be a term for this.
Your thought for Ruthenasia is funny. A few years ago it seemed like David Ortiz was suffering from Ruthenasia, but he snapped out of it.
