The futile enthusiasm shown by Jewish fans for a player that has a Jewish-sounding name, but turns out to be not Jewish at all (e.g. - Lance Berkman, Ryan/Jordan Zimmerman, Max Scherzer).
Example: "My friend got so geeked out when the D-Backs called up Paul Goldschmidt. Turns out, he was just being a Zimmermaniac."
