Kinsler

Postby Grey » Mon Aug 18, 2008 4:23 pm

From Rotoworld:

The Dallas News reports that Ian Kinsler (groin) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Joaquin Arias is reportedly with the team, and Kinsler got an MRI on Monday, neither of which are very good signs. There are reports that he could miss the rest of the season.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

That's more than just a heads-up. That's practically insider trading.

I suppose. This is really frustrating news with so little time left on the season and 2nd base being so shallow on talent.

As outstanding as Emilio Bonifacio has been, he's not going to fill a Kinsler-sized hole. Maybe Freddy Sanchez (.372 in the last month) is available in some leagues...

Yes, or Wigginton or Polanco or Kent.

Lee's replaceable, but Kinsler's at a lot tougher position.

Ian will be sorely missed by Hanley, Mark, and the rest of the guys on my squad after this dramatic breakup. But some the guys on FA are looking for the rebound to have a chance to hop on the train to a championship. Wiggington, Derosa, Alexei Ramirez, Ian Stewart, Polanco, and Howie Kendrick are some of the notables. I was thinking of riding Wiggintons hot streak until he cools down and picking up one of these other guys. Thoughts?

Alexei is more well-rounded and not that far off Kinsler's power/speed combo. Wiggington is also a fine replacement, but you're going to miss some speed.
