Hairston, Jr. helped off the field

Postby PWNightmare » Sun Jul 13, 2008 1:50 pm

"Hairston had to be carried off the field after suffering what appeared to be a significant hamstring or knee injury, running out a bunt single.

Spin: It was a painful day for Hairston. In his first at-bat, he got hit on his right elbow trying to bunt, and it was clear afterwards he couldn't throw full out"

He had a day like the cyclist in National Lampoon's European Vacation.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

What is up with my shortstop position this year? JINX!
SS#1: Renteria (my stupidity)
SS#2: Khalili (underachiever)
SS#3: Tulo (stoopid anger management dropout)
SS#4: Hairston (need I say more?)

Lucky you didn't have Yunel. He was the definition of under-performing.

Anyone that saw the Hairston injury, does it look like he is a drop and pick-up later when he comes off the DL? I am considering picking up Broxton and need to drop someone. I picked Hairston up off of free agent pile. Before it is asked, I am in a shallow 10 team league. I have cornered the market on closers with three no-brainers and one brainer so since I want to maintain the corner on the market i believe I should pickup Broxton before a trade partner gets him (see my Martin post).

Grab him, then maybe you can move Broxton and Paps for Martin. Doesn't sound like he would but maybe if he is desperate for saves. The very least he doesn't get him.

Hairston Jr., in his first game off the DL, re-injured his hamstring Friday night. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, he'll miss at least a couple games - but a trip back to the DL is a distinct possibility, too.

That's not a good sign for him moving forward (literally!).

Damm

Just when I thought my team had a chance in the RCL, gotta pick up Brendan Harris.

Brendan Harris?

Might as well be Brendan Fraser.
Yadier Fielder Utley Reyes Beltre Pena Felipe Sizemore Cruz Ludwick AdamJones
Hamels Bills Shields Wandy Weaver K-Rod Franklin Aardsma Izzy
