Putz, AGAIN

Postby jp78558 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 12:27 pm

J.J. Putz left Wednesday's game in the ninth inning with an undisclosed injury.

It wasn't clear what was wrong, but Putz had nothing on the last fastball he threw, suggesting that his arm might have been bothering him. It'd be a big loss for the Mariners, but they haven't had the real J.J. Putz at any point during the season anyway. Brandon Morrow would likely replace him in the closer's role. He took over in the ninth today.

Morrow must be picked up????

Yeah, Morrow is the next guy in line.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I don't think I would do that, but it's a risky move that could pay off.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on dropping Gagne for Morrow. Since Gagne has been miserable AND is on the DL, I'm pretty confident that no one in the league will pick him up before he clears waivers. That should buy me enough time to figure out who is sleepless in seattle.

i would. its hard to imagine gagne coming back and offering mush more than a really bad ERA. if you don't grab morrow now, he'll be gone. its spreading like wildfire. i dropped gagne a while back and he is still on waivers, so if in a couple of days morrow isn't the CL, gagne might still be there
