It's a couple days old, but the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Ankiel may be shut down for the rest of the season with a lingering abdominal issue.

He played the whole game yesterday, though. Best case scenario for his owners is that he keeps getting regular at bats. But if he's shut down, don't expect Colby Rasmus to get the call. He's been dealing with knee trouble for a while.
