suggestion for the board...

Postby shinjo » Mon Jun 09, 2008 8:33 pm

just a suggestion and i am not sure where to write it...sorry if this is not the right place.
but i feel like maybe your board could use a general forum for discussing players.
i see the closers/speed guy forum and other forums touch on players (like the injury forum) but i don't see a forum to discuss players from anything more than a very personal level (ie just discussing a player, not if some guy should add or drop him or if some guy should use his #1 waiver on him). i fear most of the forums you have will devolve into people asking if they should do this or that for their teams and that advice is not particularly helpful to other people and also kind of boring to read. though i guess if the point of this board is for people to get advice, that's ok. but just some general discussions of players would be nice. and could even be jump-started from your guys player observations in your blog postings.
thank you for your time.

Suggestions are great and absolutely recommended.

Rudy and I are obviously new to the forum thing and we'd love to hear feedback.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

while you're at it, can you look into adding RSS for the forum?
it's fine without it since there's the active topics option, but it'd a nice options for those of us at work (the huge flaming baseball up there makes it really difficult for me to check often ;)

Ha! Suckas.. That's one of the benefits of working from home. I'm much more on top of shiz. Note of caution before making career changes: your teams won't necessarily improve.

I was told by my Webmaster that it is very difficult to implement. I'll ask around, but not sure it's going to happen. I'm really computer-stupid so I know I can't do it.

I'll just change over to the other forum skin, at least it looks generic ;)

This isn't a suggestion, but a question. When I click on "keep me logged in" or whatever it is, it doesn't work. Does anyone know what I should do to remedy the situation?
Johnny Ringo: All right, 'lunger'. Let's do it.
Doc Holliday: Say when.
