we're allowed to expand the rosters in our league to one more hitter/pitcher for the playoffs so I just wanted to see what you guys thought about the guys who I am "scouting" for picking up. How would you rank these guys the rest of the way.

Asdrubal Cabrera
Jim Edmonds
Andre Ethier
Austin Kearns
Jason Kubel
Cody Ross
Gary Sheffield Sheffield

If position doesn't matter -- Ethier, Sheffield Sheffield, Ross, Edmonds, Kubel, Asbdrubal then Kearns. First three are far and away the first three. The last four are all very close.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

well its really for an extra spot on my lineup for the playoffs.

my only other 2B is BJ Upton, the bastard who got benched yesterday, ugh.

my OF: Sizemore, Hawpe, Hart, Bruce, Pence

so multi-eligibility is a plus just in case someone gets hurt (rosters are frozen in the playoffs)

Oh, then I'd move Asdrubal up just in case something happens in your MI/2nd base spot.

Freddy's a bit safer for the last month+. I'd still want Ethier over Asdrubal, I was just saying I would move Asdrubal up the ranks a bit. Probably slot him right after Sheffield Sheffield. Do you have a backup OF? Or do you start all five of those guys you listed?

i start 3 OF, and sometimes another one in my U spot depending on the matchup.

Ethier is gonna play right?

I can actually pick up 2 batters so maybe I'll use one on Ethier.

I don't really need Asdrubal's SS eligibility -- I have Tulo and Peralta. But with BJ having some problems this year the 2B eligibility could be useful for him or sanchez.

Ethier's starting more games than Pierre recently, but I guess that could change. Sheffield Sheffield has been heating up and he's batting third for a good offensive club. I think I'd put Ethier and Sheffield at 1a and 1b then grab Asdrubal or Sanchez, Asdrubal has a bit more upside and Sanchez is a bit safer, both will probably be about equal and I'd go with Asdrubal.

I'd go with Sheffield and Asdrubal in your case
