I need to pick up an SP for the rest of the season. 5x5 league, but my main concern is WHIP.

Which of these two do you feel is the better option?

Y. Petit (AZ)
10 starts remain: ATL, at Col, SD, FLA, LAD, at LAD, CIN, SF, at Stl, COL

OR

J. Banks (SD)
10 starts remain: at NYM, MIL, at Ari, at SF, COL, at Mil, LAD, SF, at Was, PIT

I know the starts could change with managers adjusting for days off, but it gives an idea. 7 of Petit's 10 starts are at home....I don't know if thats a good thing or bad. Banks has a great home park, but only 5 of his final 10 are at home...but his last 3 starts(SF, at Was, PIT) look great. I'm torn. What do you think?

Another option would be Glen Perkins. Here is his remaining schedule:

at Sea, at KC, SEA, at LAA, at Sea, at Oak, DET, at Bal, at Cle, CWS, KC

Obviously, his start tonight at Safeco would not count for me. The other 10 would and 6 of those are on the road.

His home-road splits are nearly identical and 7 of his final 10 starts are against Seattle, Oakland, Kansas City, Cleveland, and Baltimore...not too shabby.

Petit's in the best situation to succeed, but he also has the best chance of getting bounced from the rotation. I'd still go with him as I'd say he's worth the risk.
