Hi All, I'm in a 6x6 H2H league (OPS and QS are added). I can pick 5 keepers.

I have J Santana, Haren, Greinke. Id like to keep all 3 but am tempted to cut one to make room for more hitters. Who do you cut from that group though?

I have Zimmerman, Morneau, and Morales. I had been leaning towards trimming Morneau from that group, I like Morales' upside and am wary of Morneau's back. Risky decision though, because Morneau clearly has the track record whereas Morales might actually be 35 or something.

Finally, I have Granderson. Despite his splits, it just seems like he could put up some monster numbers in the yankee lineup and in that park, so I have a hard time letting him go.

I'm interested in others' opinions on who to keep from this group.

Thanks

You don't say how many keepers you're allowed. Anyway...

Cut Johan. Cut Kendry. Assuming you have to.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Mr. Grey,

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't realize I didn't need to say how many keepers...this being my first keeper league, which is only in its 2nd year, I am new to the process of picking keepers.

Cutting Santana does make sense, being older now and coming off surgery. It allows me to keep 2 aces then make a decision between Granderson and Kendry. I had been leaning towards cutting Morneau over Kendry because stress fractures scare me, but you and everyone else have been saying Justin is 100% healthy and ready to rake. Cutting Kendry for Granderson gives me an elite OF and then I can fill the CI in the draft. So if by 'assuming you have to' you mean in order to keep Granderson and only cut Santana from the aforementioned group, yes, yes I do have to cut Kendry. I guess the risk of 2009 being his career year is too high to take a flier on him not hitting his ceiling yet. If only we could trust his birth certificate eh?
