Rangers manager Ron Washington told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Rangers 3B Hank Blalock (wrist), expected to return from the DL as the team's first baseman, will instead return as its third baseman Friday at Minnesota. Rookie Chris Davis will remain with the team as its everyday first baseman, and incumbent 3B Ramon Vazquez will lose his starting role.

avg/hr/rbi you think chris davis ends up with? id previously professed my love for this guy and now he's gonna stick the rest of the year possibly.

Davis is still a nightmare when it comes to Ks, so don't get too crazy with what to expect. Possibly .260/12/35 in the 2nd half. Those are optimistic.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Nothing like setting a wine glass up to play 3B! I give him a week.

Ha - I'm not sure he can even get to the stadium without getting hurt in a fender bender.

At the very least, it will be interesting to see what Davis can do with the opportunity. Small sample size, but he's hitting .314 at home, .174 on the road.

As said three weeks ago, bench Davis on the road. Also, I'm benching him against lefties too.

He's definitely worth a pickup. What I liked about Davis in last night's game, apart from the usual power, was that he went 3 for 4. And the 6:17 walk-K ratio he's got in 75 ABs is relatively promising, too. His pitch selection is decent. Now, Grey's already said it about 40 times - keep an eye on his home/road splits. Definitely start him at home, and if he can get that road avg up a bit then it's no longer a concern.

Right now he's hot, so I'd start him everywhere for now.
