Early Keeper Advice

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Early Keeper Advice

Postby Euroalien » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:59 pm

Grey - love your preseason analysis - I know I'm going to better prepared for this years draft than ever before. Great Stuff!!

It's a little early, but I'm looking for some keeper advice. I'm in a 12 team, 5 x 5 league..... 25 man rosters with 2 DL spots. Each team can keep up to eight players from year to year, if a team keeps less than eight then those teams get early picks at he draft until all teams have eight players. Once all teams have eight players, the full draft starts.

My keepers for sure are: Mauer (unless I trade him before the season), Howard, Bay, Beckett & Santana. My other possible options are: A. Rios, J. Damon, CarGo, Raj Davis, David Price, F. Cordero - The rest of my roster doesn't make the cut.......... I'm tempted to keep the first five listed and get three early picks at the draft.................... do you agree??

Also I have had one trade offer for Mauer, so far.............. Youkilis and Granderson - which seems like a good deal to me. There's a chance that current owner of those players might not keep them....... My question is do I make the deal or wait and see what else comes up..... we have an early March deadline, so there's time...........

What do you think???
Thanks

I'd make the trade for Youk and Grandy, then go into the draft with 6 guys.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Thanks Grey, appreciate the advice..... I may explore some other options to trade Mauer, before our pre-season trade deadline, but I like the Youk/Grandy deal.
