Neftali?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Neftali?

Postby adamh » Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:27 am

Keeper league with 3 keepers. Planning on keeping Adam Jones for a 12th and Kershaw for a 10th. Is Neftali for an 11th creeping into the conversation? Other options are Wainright 8th or Ian Stewart/Colby Rasmus for an 11th. Guys can be kept for up to 3 years for escalating rounds.

Those are really your only choices? If so, I'd go with Rasmus.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Well, its 14 teams and its based on where they were drafted last year. First rounders can't be kept, and it takes an explosion to keep anyone taken in the early to mid-rounds. 12th round is the cutoff aka nobody can be kept for anything later than the 12th. Damn Grey, I didn't think they were that bad...

Jones and Kershaw are fine -- But then there's some fall off. In a three keeper league, I expect to see a Hanley or Braun type being kept. Didn't know your rules.

Sorry, didn't thoroughly explain. You have to give up a round higher in next years draft to keep a player, therefore making 1st rounders non-keepable. Yes, I could keep Carlos Lee, but since I drafted him in the 2nd this year, i'd have to give up a 1st rounder to keep him next year (not worth it). So, really, the best keepers in this league are the likes of Mark Reynolds, Adam Jones etc. ie guys drafted late that had good-great years whom you can keep for a low cost. Most, if not all, of the top players are going to be around again in the draft next year.

Gotcha, then I'd go with Rasmus as of right now.
