Fire Sale

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Fire Sale

Postby p0rk burn » Tue Jul 28, 2009 8:07 am

With a team that is not only dead last, but dead last with a DNR pinned to its chest, I'm looking to sell the studs that don't quite reach keeper status or even one that may be past his prime to upgrade. Our league keeps 3 bats and a pitcher.

Johan seems a no brainer as the arm, and Prince joins him as a bat, correct? The other keeper choices are Rollins, Votto, Phillips, and Aramis. Ive kept Rollins the last few years, but after this season (barring the last few weeks) it seems like it may be time to cut ties as he probably can get me the most in return right now.

I'm thinking of keeping Johan, Prince, and Votto and trading for a third keeper. One of the owners is interested in Rollins and is willing to deal. He won't discuss Utley, Howard, or Kemp, but is willing to discuss Pena, C.Lee, or Ichiro. Lee interests me out of that group, but his year hasnt been particularly awe inspiring. Kemp for Rollins would be a definite deal in my book. Thoughts?

I'd go for Kemp, but I wouldn't trade Rollins for Lee.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Kemp is probably one of his keepers... so I don't really see him trading a keeper to you for 2 non keepers.
