Throwing in the towel. Top 20 keepers for 2010?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Postby dean-o » Sun Jul 26, 2009 6:32 pm

I'm building for next year and am looking for some insight into how to value keepers. Here's my list of top 20 keepers for 2010. Curious to see what others are thinking.

2. Hanley
3. Braun
4. Miggy
5. Kinsler
6. Utley
7. Reyes
8. Lincecum

Looks pretty good, I don't think Bay's a top 20 keeper though.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Pretty close to it, he's still getting better and capable of 20/40 next year.

maybe there's room for growth, but his walks and power are down from his 2008 #'s which weren't that good to begin with, so it's tough to say he's actually growing. is there really much difference between bossman and chris b. young?

i'd probably go with morneau and reynolds over upton and bay. holliday and adam jones might be in the mix too.

About fifty points in average and 25 steals difference between Krispie and Upton. Morneau's a good call though, he'd be up there probably.

obviously an exaggeration, but not that bad when you consider upton is being considered for the top 20 and young might not crack the top 200. i'd put bj in the 30-40 range.

kinsler is a little high in that list too. top 5 is a stretch.

Maybe a little high now that we see it's absolutely impossible for him to stay healthy.

Grey, you ignored suggestion of mini-donkey as an add (approved morneau). Shouldn't he be top twenty?

Reynolds isn't a top 20 keeper in my mind. Top 30-40 maybe.
