Weekly waiver time...

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Weekly waiver time...

Postby tooms » Sat Jun 27, 2009 9:08 am

There are actually a bunch of players I'm interested in this week... that usually doesn't happen in a league this deep, but I digress...

Bats:
Nyjer Morgan
Everth Cabrera
Nate Schierholtz
Ryan Doumit
Miguel Olivo

Arms:
CJ Wilson
Kevin Correia
Chad Gaudin

Two start arms with decent matchups:
Mike Hampton (vs. SD & SF)
Clayton Richard (vs. CLE & KC)
Carl Pavano (vs. CHW & OAK)

I'm thinking of dropping Baker for Doumit... and just riding Hernandez until he's healthy...

Wade isn't doing anything for me right now so I plan on dropping him and picking up either Nyjer or Everth here. I need steals... Who would you rather pick up?? And who would you rather start Nyjer over Reimold or Everth over Hardy??

I want to keep Billy Blanks but I might cut him or Parra for Schierholtz or Morgan here.

Should I target any of these pitchers over Wells or Tallet? I'm thinking of at least trying to get CJ Wilson, but will most likely be snagged up before its my turn on waivers...

So my waivers are going to be:
Wilson
Nyjer
Everth
Schierholtz
Doumit
Correia (not over other pitchers though)
Hampton (not over other pitchers though)
Gaudin (not over other pitchers though)

dropping Wade, Baker, Blanks/Parra (or both?), Tallet?

Also is Fernando Nieve worth consideration?

Wilson's better to own than Pena. Everth over Hardy. Lose Baker for Doumit. Lose Tallet for Gaudin, then Correia, take only one.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
