Need to slash payroll.

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Need to slash payroll.

Postby sotboy6 » Sun Nov 24, 2013 12:23 pm

Taking over a team in a 12 team H2H. $140 soft cap with $200 hard cap. Kinda Yahoo format (3OF, no CI or MI), but you can only have 1SP per day so you have to pre-rotate your guys in. I can buy out contracts for next year at 1/2 price rounded up. Looks like a lot of teams go into the next season with only $50-$60 dollars on the books.

I need to cut as much payroll as I can while retaining some value. Of course, trades can be made, but I just gave up Verlander $45 for Kazmir $4 to get down to this. I don't think I'll be able to get much next season. Looking to move Kinsler and Jones just because of their cap hits and their contracts end after 2014. Other than that, pretty lost on where to trim fat or who definitely needs to go. Didn't put the expiration of these contracts. Everybody but Kinsler and Jones has a couple years.

C d' Arnaud $5
1B Votto $7
2B Kinsler $32
3B Beltre $19
OF Bruce $7
OF Rasmus $7
OF Jones $31

SP
Brett Anderson $6
Tommy Hanson $6
Matt Cain $16
Scott Kazmir $4

Minors ($ if called up)
3B? Miguel Sano $4
2B? Kolten Wong $5
OF Gary Brown $5
OF Oscar Tavares $3
P Jameson Tailon $4
P Matt Purke $4
P John Lamb $4

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
