Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

My pitching is tanking

Postby kevo252 » Sat May 11, 2013 3:27 pm

My pitching has been bad for the last 3 weeks or so. I went from close to first in ERA and WHIP to close to last very quickly.

My rotation is:

Latos, Moore, Minor, Dickey, K. Kendrick, Guthrie and Neise.

I currently have a waiver claim in for Hughes, dumping Neise, but I don't think that will be enough. Do I need to make a move for a big time SP. thinking about dealing Jones or J. Upton for a top line starter. Is that a panic move or a smart move?

I might look to see what you could get for Jones. Not sure Hughes will help you. Do think you are panicking a little early but I don't love the back end of your rotation.

Just dumping Niese upgrades your rotation, significantly. Hell, leave the slot open if you can't fill it. Just get rid of him.

Always checking out your options, but unless I got full value for Upton or Jones, I'd stand pat for now. I expect that your rotation will be ok (not top tier, but not terrible either). I think getting rid of Niese is a good start toward improvement.

I agree. Drop Niese, but you'll be Ok. Still early, don't panic and do something you'll regret.
You go there once, you'll be there twice.
