My pitching is dreadful in my Yahoo league (can't stream/2 adds per week limit). I haven't been patient and have been killing myself on starting sporadic trash on their worst days, McDonald/Zito/need I say more...I'm looking at 3 options:

1.) Ditch the real inconsistent starters for some solid RP like O'Flaherty and Melancon (league doesn't have holds but all saves are accounted for) and focus on damage control to win match-ups.

2.) Snag some moderately intriguing guys on waivers (Doubront, Hughes, Parker - scary but still) while dropping McDonald (and probably Zito...cause I want to see another start from Cashner and Straily). This keeps me open for all categories, but seems risky.

3.) Major overhaul where I take an approach of damage control (low era, whip, losses, hr's) like the first option and keep only the sure things, who are basically only Bucholz, Hudson (kinda), and my relief. In that case I'd add the solid set-up guys and then replace the other finicky starters with prospects...seeing if someone pans out to be a weapon later on in the year (in this case, I'm thinking Skaggs/Hultzen - if he's not hurt, but would be open to suggestion).

I would drop starters like Quintana, McDonald and Zito. Then pick up a couple solid RP and Parker. They might not be great right now but your starters will come around.
